Terms of service
Last updated 22 July 2026. These terms govern your use of the WooSecure platform and plugin.
Template notice: this page is a structural starting point supplied with the site build. Have it reviewed by your own legal counsel and updated with your registered entity details and governing law before launch.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or installing the WooSecure plugin you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. The service
WooSecure provides access control, monitoring and logging for the administration layer of WordPress and WooCommerce sites. We provide the service on a best-efforts basis and continue to develop it; features may change, and we will give reasonable notice before removing a material one.
WooSecure is a security control, not a guarantee. No product can prevent every compromise, and you remain responsible for keeping WordPress, your plugins, your themes and your hosting up to date, and for maintaining your own backups.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for who you invite and for removing access when it is no longer needed.
- You must not share a single account between multiple people.
- You must tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use WooSecure to protect a site used for unlawful activity, to conceal unlawful activity from lawful investigation, or in a way that interferes with the service for other customers. You may not attempt to circumvent access controls, resell the service without a partner agreement, or reverse engineer the platform other than to the extent permitted by law.
5. Fees and billing
- The licence is billed annually in advance, per account, and covers an unlimited number of protected sites.
- Prices are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes.
- You may cancel at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the period already paid for.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase affecting your account.
6. Availability
We aim for high availability of the WooSecure panel and access gateway. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practicable. If our service is unavailable, your store continues to operate and serve customers — protection features may be degraded, but your storefront and checkout are not dependent on us.
7. Data
Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy. You retain ownership of your data. On cancellation you may export your activity log for 30 days, after which it is deleted.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment after notice, for a material breach of these terms, or where required by law. Where practicable we will give you an opportunity to remedy the issue first.
9. Warranties and liability
Except as expressly stated, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account owners by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be completed], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
